About the Host

Nick grew up in the beautiful state of Wyoming, but started his cooking career in Washington, DC, 12 years ago when he started his popular website, macheesmo.com. Now, Nick lives in Denver, CO with his wife and two young kids. Over the years, Nick has brought delicious and doable recipes to readers and prides himself on teaching people how to get in the kitchen and cook good food! Nick has written a nationally released cookbook about using leftovers effectively (Love Your Leftovers) and was featured on a primetime cooking competition called Food Fighters, where he cooked his recipes against some of the best chefs in America.


About the Event

Chef Evans will be welcoming us into his home kitchen (via livestream), and teaching us how to cook a multi-course meal showcasing a few of his favorite signature dishes (see full menu below). And, as is always the case at our events, he'll be taking plenty of questions from attendees while he cooks and participating in an extended Q&A to close out the night!

What does my ticket get me?

In addition to getting access to the live event, you’ll receive a complete grocery list, a companion Recipe Book (with detailed step-by-step cooking instructions and kitchen equipment needed to cook each dish), and unlimited viewing access to the recording of the event after its completion so you can cook the meal along with Chef Evans as often as you’d like!

How long does this event take?

We aim for 1hr 30min from start to finish, however that depends on the number of questions attendees have for Chef Evans. The cooking portion of our events rarely goes longer than 1 hr.

What kitchen equipment, appliances, and utensils will be used?

What ingredients will be needed?

In addition to the following kitchen staples – ground black pepper, kosher salt, olive oil, and Worcestershire sauce – Chef Evans recommends acquiring the following ingredients listed below:

  • Asparagus
  • Basil
  • Bread
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Eggs
  • Flat anchovies (or sub. additional Worcestershire)
  • Garlic
  • Lemons
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Spaghetti
  • Thick cut bacon (or sub. additional olive oil)
  • Yellow squash
