About the Host

A native of Chihuahua, Mexico, Chef Dana Rodriguez grew up on a farm without any running water or electricity. She moved to Denver over 20 years ago after visiting family in Colorado and quickly dove headfirst into the city's restaurant scene. She started off as a dishwasher at acclaimed Italian eatery, Panzano, and slowly worked her way up the ladder to eventually become Sous Chef. In 2013, she struck out on her own with her first restaurant, Work & Class, which garnered rave reviews and an incredibly loyal following, and she followed it up with her Pan-Latin dim sum concept, Super Mega Bien, in 2018. Fast forward to today, and she's now one undoubtedly one of Denver's brightest culinary stars as a 4-time James Beard "Best Chef: Mountain" nominee and winner of Westword’s “Best New Restaurant of 2019” award for Super Mega Bien.

About the Event

In this chefstream, Chef Rodriguez livestreamed from her home kitchen, as she taught us how to cook three of her favorite signature dishes from her restaurants: Beet Salad with lemon crema & pumpkin seeds, Carne Asada with chimichurri, and for dessert, Butterscotch Pudding with butterfinger crunch. And, as is the case at every chefstream, she answered questions from attendees throughout the evening and participated in an extended Q&A to close out the night!
