About the Host

A Nigerian native, Chef Simileoluwa Adebajo is a trained economist turned restauranteur who gave up a successful career as a financial analyst to pursue her culinary passion. She began her metamorphosis by spending her weekends hosting pop-up events and cooking suya chicken for Postmates and Uber Eats customers. In June 2019, she decided to go all-in with her insatiable passion for the cuisine of her homeland by opening San Francisco's first/only Nigerian restaurant cuisine, Eko Kitchen. Since then, she's earned a loyal following locally in SF, and national acclaim courtesy of a feature story in Bon Appétit Magazine.

About the Event

In this chefstream, Chef Adebajo livestreamed from her restaurant kitchen, as she taught us how to cook three of her favorite Nigerian dishes: Fried Plantains, Naija Pepper Chicken with jollof rice, and Puff Puff. And, as is the case at every chefstream, she answered questions from attendees throughout the evening and participated in an extended Q&A to close out the night!
