About the Host

Over a career that spans more than 35 years, Scott Conant’s deft touch and unwavering passion to create soulful food has established him as one of the world’s leading chefs. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and cooking at a range of famed Italian eateries, he opened L’Impero in NYC in 2002, which James Beard named winner of their ultra-prestigious “Best New Restaurant” award that year. Two years later, Food & Wine named Conant “Best New Chef.” In 2018, he launched his Sprezza line of cooking and pantry essentials, and he is beloved by fans worldwide for his Food Network appearances, including his decade-long role as a judge on Chopped and his new role as host of Chopped Sweets. Chances are you also recognize him from his frequent appearances on The Today Show, Rachael Ray Show, and Good Morning, America, among others. And, did we mentioned he's also written three cookbooks? As of 2021, he is currently the chef and owner of Italian-American dining destination The Americano in Scottsdale, Arizona; Mora Italian, a modern osteria in Phoenix, Arizona, and Cellaio an Italian steakhouse at Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, New York.

About the Event

Chef Conant will be welcoming us into his home kitchen (via livestream), and teaching us how to cook a multi-course meal showcasing a few of his favorite signature Italian dishes (see full menu below). And, as is always the case at our events, he'll be taking plenty of questions from attendees while he cooks and participating in an extended Q&A to close out the night!

What will we be making?

Appetizer: Clams Guazetto

Entrée: Beef Tenderloin with pearl onion agrodolce and sautéed summer vegetables
