How often do you host events?
We host our interactive livestream events biweekly. Of course, all of our on-demand events are accessible to members whenever they’d like!
What is the format of your events?
In each event, the hosting chef welcomes us into their home kitchens and teaches us how to cook their favorite dishes – typically an appetizer and an entree that pair together well and are representative of their restaurant. As the chef demonstrates how to cook each dish, attendees are encouraged to write in questions, which the event moderator then asks the chef whenever the opportunity presents itself. At the end of each event, the chef also participates in an extended Q&A session with attendees.
Are events free with my membership?
No, but member tickets are just $15, and 100% of ticket sales proceeds are passed along directly to the chefs we’re collaborating with!
What does my ticket get?
For interactive livestream events, tickets provide access to the livestreamed event, a detailed grocery list that we send you right after you purchase your ticket, a companion Recipe Book PDF with step-by-step cooking instructions for each dish,, and unlimited access to the full recording of the event after its completion. For on-demand events, tickets provide unlimited access to the full event recording and the companion Recipe Book PDF.
Is there a limit on the number of events I am able to attend as a member?
Nope! Members are able to attend as many livestream events as they’d like, and/or purchase as many on-demand events as they’d like. The more, the merrier!
What is not covered in the ticket price?
The only thing not covered by the ticket price are groceries. We send you the detailed grocery list and it’s up to you to decide how and when to get ‘em!
What is the ticket cancellation/refund policy?
Tickets to our livestream events are fully refundable up until 48 hours before the event start time. Within 48 hours of the event, no refunds will be issued. Purchases of our on-demand events are non-refundable.
Can members attend any event regardless of their location?
Absolutely! Our events are hosted online rather than in-person. So, as long as you have a working internet connection it doesn’t matter where you’re attending from.
What happens after I buy tickets to an upcoming livestream event?
Once you’ve purchased tickets to a event, you will immediately receive a receipt of your payment via email. If you don’t receive this receipt, please contact us us at support@chefstreams.com, as this means that there was a problem with your purchase and your tickets weren’t processed. You will also receive an email from us shortly after purchasing your ticket with the detailed grocery list. One day before the event, you’ll receive the companion Recipe Book PDF. Lastly, on the day of the event, 15 minutes before the event starts, we’ll email you the link to join the classroom.
How do you select the chefs that you collaborate with?
We partner with renowned restaurant chefs who have either won or been nominated for highly-prestigious awards (ex. James Beard Awards, Eater Awards, etc.), or who have garnered extensive acclaim for their restaurants (Michelin Stars, Food & Wine Featured, etc.).
Can I ask the chef questions directly in a event and/or can other attendees see me?
Nope! Attendees write in their questions via the Q&A feature in the virtual classroom and the moderator filters the questions and asks them to the chef when the opportunity presents itself. Additionally, attendees cannot see each other in the classroom, as the only participants who stream video are the chef and, infrequently, the moderator.
Where are the events livestreamed from?
Each event is livestreamed from the hosting chef’s home kitchen, rather than their restaurant kitchen. We do this so that they’re using roughly the same type/quality of cooking equipment as you are in your home rather than the professional equipment they use at their restaurants.
